14.2 — The Recognition Test
A niche is not a headline.
A niche is how consistently your world matches theirs.
Every piece of content, every DM, every story, every call is a moment where your reader is scanning for one question:
“Is this person from my world?”
Not:
- “Are they helpful?”
- “Are they smart?”
- “Are they motivational?”
- “Are they qualified?”
Those come later.
The first scan — the split-second scan — is identity recognition.
Your niche is not something you “declare.”
Your niche is the accumulated signal you emit across:
- your language
- your tone
- your examples
- your references
- your cultural cues
- your stories
- your frustrations
- your rhythms
- your world
People don’t judge your niche from a statement.
They judge your niche from your pattern.
A niche is not said.
A niche is demonstrated.
